David B. Sexton received his B.S. degree from Kansas State University and his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1979.

Mr. Sexton is a member of the Kansas City, Clay County, Platte County, Missouri and American Bar Associations. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri.

Mr. Sexton has a general civil practice with an emphasis on  family law litigation, workers’ compensation and personal injury.

Robert H. Bender

Robert H. Bender received his B.S. degree in Business and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1975.

Mr. Bender is a member of the Clay County, Missouri and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Bender’s practice focuses on corporate matters, income tax and estate planning for individuals and corporations.

Michael H. Maher received his B.A. degree and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he was a member of the Missouri Law Review. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1969.

Mr. Maher is a member of the Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri and American Bar Associations.

Mr. Maher’s practice has an emphasis in banking and business law, real estate and commercial lending transactions and business litigation.

J. Brian Hill

J. Brian Hill

J. Brian Hill received his B.A. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1979. Mr. Hill received his Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from the University of Missouri at Kansas City where he was an editor of the UMKC Law Review and member of the Order of the Bench and Robe. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1982.

Mr. Hill is a member of the Kansas City, Clay County and Missouri Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He has a general civil practice with an emphasis on business formation and planning, taxation, estate planning, estate administration, business and real estate transactions. Mr. Hill is Chairman of the Planning Commission for the City of Gladstone, Missouri, and is a past Chairman and board member of the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce.

Gary M. Steinman

Gary M. Steinman

Gary M. Steinman received his B.S. degree in finance from the University of Missouri St. Louis.  He received his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University,  where he was an Articles Editor for the St. Louis University Law Review. He was admitted to the Missouri bar in 1991.

Mr. Steinman is a member of the Clay County, Platte County, Missouri and American Bar Associations. Mr. Steinman is also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.  Mr. Steinman is licensed to practice in the State Courts of Missouri, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the Eighth Circuit.

Mr. Steinman maintains both a trial and appellate practice for corporations and individuals alike.  His practice areas include real estate, product liability, personal injury, family law and business litigation.

Larry G. Schulz

Larry G. Schulz received his B.S. degree from Iowa State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he was a member and editor of the Missouri Law Review and Order of the Coif. Mr. Schulz was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1969.

Mr. Schulz is a former director of the Clay County Bar Association and is a member of the Clay County, Missouri and American Bar Associations. Mr. Schulz is of counsel with the firm.


Andrew F. VanNess

Andrew F. VanNess received his B.S. degree from Northwest Missouri State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri Kansas City. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2005.

Mr. VanNess is a member of the Clay County, Kansas City Metropolitan, Platte County and Missouri Bar Associations. Mr. VanNess is licensed to practice in the State Courts of Missouri, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the United States Tax Court.
